Club (known as “Club Cosmetics Co. Ltd.株式会社クラブコスメチックス” since 1971), originally known as Nakayama Taiyoudou (中山太陽堂, est. 1903 by Nakayama Taichi中山 太一 in 1903), was used as the company’s trade mark since 1905. Club was one of the big four in the cosmetics industry in Japan during Meiji era (明治 1868 – 1912). The twin girls illustration (see other items of Club) was used as its logo from the early days of the company and still can be found nowadays in its products, with a slightly modified version. This is a can of cleansing cream and the desigh is quite usual for Club’s traditional packaging, where the twin girls logo is not shown. The company based in Osaka has a museum of the company’s history, where you can find all products and related history. See more about Club Cosmetics Co. Ltd. at http://www.clubcosmetics.co.jp/.
