Remarks:

This is a “Guilloché enamel” compact. Guilloché (or guilloche) refers to a decorative technique in which a very precise, intricate and repetitive pattern is mechanically engraved into an underlying material via engine turning. Here we have an example using guilloche tech on sterling silver. It’s covered with enamel therefore is called a guilloche enamel compact.
