Remarks:

This powder tin shows the name “California Perfume Company” on its back, which was the origin of Avon. In 1928, the company began to use the name “Avon” on their products in addition to the California Perfume Company name. In 1939, David McConnell, Jr., son of the owner of California Perfume Co., renamed the company “Avon” after his father’s death.
